Deaf Awareness Training
In the UK one in five people are deaf or experience hearing loss. These may be colleagues or customers, so how does your organisation connect with and meet their needs?
Our deaf awareness courses are aimed at organisations and individuals who want to gain an understanding of deaf awareness, gain valuable life skills to improve their communication and improve their organisation’s accessibility.
Training is best delivered in-person but we also offer a virtual option if that better suits your needs. A session is normally 2 hours and will cover topics such as:
- Understanding Deafness
- Barriers to access and inclusion
- Communication techniques
- Communication resources
- Basic sign language - including finger spelling
